Corrections

Material errors are logged here rather than quietly edited.

The policy

If something factual on this site turns out to be wrong, we fix the page and record it here with what it said, what it says now, and how the error happened.

Typos, broken links and wording changes are fixed silently — this log is for facts. Specifications that change because a manufacturer revised a product are updates rather than corrections, and show in the “last updated” date on each page.

Found something wrong? Tell us or email contact@sizzleandscrape.com. That is a correction we want to make.

Zojirushi EA-DCC10 wattage

Was
1,500 W
Now
1,350 W at 120 V

An early research pass picked the figure up from machine-generated 'best electric griddle' listicles, which are the dominant results for that query. The manufacturer's own product page and specialist retailers all state 1,350 W. Corrected before launch, and the episode is why none of those sites are cited anywhere here.

Blackstone 36" Original cooking area

Was
768 sq in
Now
769 sq in (grid 35¾ × 21½ in)

A commonly repeated figure of 768 sq in turned out to disagree with the retailer specification panel, which states 769. One square inch changes nothing in practice, but the site's claim is that every number traces to a source, so it is the sourced number that gets published.
